Is it that time again?? Set your watch, its time for the Drill

-So the Dodgers continue the dismantling of their 2004 team..Now Beltre is gone...But we did get Jose Valentin...thats counts for something right??? Right???!! True, he did hit 30 home runs this past season..but his average was .216!! His average has dropped each of the last 5 seasons..Will it be six after 2005???? Now Shawn Green, Brad Penny, Yhency Brazoban and Kaz Ishii are part of a huge 10 player trade between the Dodgers, D-Backs and Yankees...The centerpiece of that trade of course is Randy Johnson going to the Yankees...We'll see if Shawn Green blocks this trade and puts an end to this craziness!!

-I am going to miss Lima Time @ Dodger Stadium!

-Lakers are only TWO victories better than the Clippers...how the mighty have fallen..

-This Saturday...its Kobe vs Shaq!! Shaq vs Kobe!! "The winner will be showered with cheers and praise! The loser will be taunted and booed until my throat is sore!!!"

-So now with my sister and brother in law back in town, Christmas time is in full swing here @ Casa Quintanilla....Its begining to look alot like Christmas.....

--Was there a point to that last posting? I dunno...Just thought I would share!

Random Thoughts...Two Minute Drill Style!!

Ready. Set. Go!!

-So 2004 is slowly ticking away...Why does it seem like every year goes by faster and faster. Its like you hit Summer and the rest just flys by! Christmas is next Saturday and I havent even gone shopping...Ugh..shopping...I am already dreading the trip to the overcrowded mall...but I will put my dislike for it aside and shop for the people so near and dear to me...

-Kobe vs Karl....Kobe is saying Karl made a pass at his wife...if you havent heard, here's what happened: At a recent game, Vanesa Bryant asked Karl Malone to sit with her. After they said hello Vanessa noticed Karl was all decked out in his usual attire of cowboy boots and hat. Vanessa: Who are you hunting? Karl: Little mexican girls...Thats it....Nothing more...Lets ignore the fact that Vanessa isnt even Mexican...is Karl's comment even considered a pickup line??? I mean I've heard some bad pickup lines but damn!...what the hell is THAT??To me it sounded more like a stupid comment made because he couldnt think of a better comeback...So anywho, Kobe felt that Karl disrespected his wife and said that he called Karl and said that if he ever came near his wife again he would quote "mess him up"....(pause for laughter).....Oh what the hell...(pause for more laughter)...OK, moving on, I think the whole thing is being blown out of proportion and its just another case of Kobe being...well, Kobe...Honestly Kobe should just shut up and play ball...It seems like every time this guy opens his mouth he's pissing somebody off...ok, I'm exaggerating, but you get the idea...lets see what happens next.

Intro

So it has come to this. After many years away from the keyboard, the writing machine that is DQ is back. Sure, its for a blog that probaly only I will read, but you'd be surprised at the work I crank out when I'm motivated. Which, probably wont happen too much. Still, this will be my forum for news, sports and whatever else I can dream up. I know you're curious to see whats inside...its what happens.... when boredom and creative writing collide!!
